Meet the Coaches

Wayne Hatswell - (Head Coach)

Wayne has obtained the UEFA 'B' Coaching Football Award and is currently undertaking his A-Licence. He is currently playing Professional Football for Dundalk F.C in the Premier League of Ireland. Wayne has been a Professional Footballer for almost 12 years now and still going! His previous clubs include Cambridge United, Rushden & Diamonds, Oxford United, Chester City, Kidderminster,Forest Green & Trowbridge Town making around 250 Football League appearances and has commanded almost a total of £100,000 in transfer fees. His vast knowledge and work ethic will make him a valuable member of the Players Coaching team.

Paul Hunt

Paul began his football career as a youngster at Swindon Town in 1984. He spent nine years at the club, playing under Lou Macari, Ossie Ardiles and Glen Hoddle. In his time with the Robins, he enjoyed two promotions. Following his lengthy stay at ‘The Town’, Paul moved on to Andover FC where he enjoyed a two year spell from 1995-1996. After a brief spell at Cirencester Town, Paul joined Forest Green Rovers, where he enjoyed a six year spell from 1996 – 2002. After leaving Forest Green Rovers after two serious knee operations Paul had spells at Aberystwyth, Cirencester Town, Bath City & Merthyr Tydfil but returned for a short spell as Academy Coach for Forest Green Rovers. Paul has gained his UEFA B Coaching Award and is currently the Assistant Manager of Thatcham Town FC.

Ashan Holgate

Ashan holds his FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate. Ash has played for Swindon Town F.C, Macclesfield Town F.C & Salisbury City F.C.Currently playing at Newport County FC. Ash is an excellent addition to the Players Team.

Steve Hale

Steve has his Uefa B Licence & recently completed his Uefa B Goalkeeping Licence attaining the highest grade possible. Steve is Swindon Town Centre of Excellence goalkeeping coach (assisting with the 1st Team goalkeepers) and Academy Head Coach/Co-Ordinator for Forest Green Rovers FC.

Toby Clapton

Toby recently obtained his F.A Level 2 in Coaching Football. He has recently attended Bath University receiving a degree in Sports Coaching. Toby was previously Head Soccer Coach for the Junior Varsity team in America and Head Counsellor for children with learning difficulties.

Ray McGrory

Ray's previous clubs include Swindon Supermarine, Woolen Sports, Forest Green Rovers, Fairford Town & Devizes Town. Ray has obtained the UEFA B Coaching Football Award. Ray's currently coaching Swindon Town U'13's.
